Shocking

I recently read one of the most disturbing articles I have ever came across.  There’s a link to the page, http://www.cnn.com/2011/CRIME/01/29/florida.children.killed/index.html?npt=NP1.   I was looking over cnn and saw the heading Police: Mom killed teens for being “Mouthy”.  I was a little shocked so I decided to read some more of it.  It’s about a mom who shot her thirteen year old son and sixteen year old daughter.  She shot her son on the way to soccer practice and her daughter while she was studying.  She told police that they talked back and were mouthy.  That was the mothers excuse for taking the lives of her two children.  Thinking that saying it could justify her actions.  When I first read this article I was in complete shock of what had happened.   I just don’t understand how a mom could do this to her own kids, let alone even let the idea cross her mind.
Another article I read kinda branching off this one was about a mother who gave her son a mixture of olive oil and vinegar because she said he was possessed and that she didn’t like his temper tantrums.  The child was three years old when she did this and she just recently got caught after almost a year.
These two mothers are crazy for what they did to their kids and I can’t believe anyone would do anything like this.  It just makes no sense how things like this happen.  Neither of the mothers could have been mentally stable to kill their own child.  But I guess this is a messed up world and things like this happen but at least and most importantly these people get caught and pay for the things they did. Although this will never bring back the life they took for their own reasons which may never make sense to anyone.

hey this is lincoln and this is my first blog i have ever posted so i really dont know what to talk about so ill just share what im going to blog about on my site.  Most of my blogs will be about my personal experiences and what im thinking about. First off im going to start my first blog with how sweet i think it is that our school has a two hour delay.  it gave me enough time to get this blog done before class and also to get all the other homework done that i might not have with out it.  also i got to hang out with friends for like two more hours than i normally would.  Another reason why it was sweet is because i got to take all the time i needed at the Y this morning instead of rushing through my exercise which was really nice.  On the other side, i feel like two hour delays are some what pointless.  First off, you only get like maybe an hour more of sleep, and half the time people get up to check if we have a two hour delay, so how are they supposed to get more sleep when they get up earlier than they do on a normal school day just to check if we have a two hour delay.  Also, if you dont start going to school at a decent time, you get caught up in traffic, which most of the time makes you late.  the greatest thing about two hour delays is that the school day goes by so much faster because you dont have to go to two periods, which is pretty nice.  well anyway im going to wrap up my blog by saying that two hours delays are pretty sweet yet have a couple of negative  nut not enough to make them bad.
